A group of guardian angels descended at a funeral service for the Orlando victims to protect mourners from hateful Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) demonstrators.
The wings were said to be created with PVC pipes and white sheets.
This is not the first time big angel wings were used to counter haters from WBC.
Back in 1999, the same strategy was used by LGBT activist Romaine Patterson when the church picketed the trials for the killers of Matthew Shepard in Laramie, Wyoming.
The Washington Post reports that the human chain group formed organically via Facebook when there were rumors that WBC would be demonstrating at several funerals of the Pulse nightclub victims.
Louis Theroux stated that the Phelpses are the most extreme people he has ever met.

It’s who I was made to be.’Angel’s husband Adam described WBC as having ‘a sick, twisted view’ and that ‘they push people away from Christian religion.’The crowd standing outside the cathedral also sang ‘Amazing Grace’ in unison and solidarity to drown hate with love and pride.
Besides the angels in white, there were also bikers, priests, members of the LGBT community as well as locals young and old seen holding up signs like ‘God is love’ and ‘Orlando strong.’A gay couple, Angel Gabriel Vasquez and Adam Vasquez, told The Washington Post that they decided to join the counter-protest after hearing about WBC’s plans on Facebook.‘[Orlando] is where we grew up. And to be Puerto Rican, Latin night was one of our favorite nights,’ Angel shared.
In response to WBC’s actions, Angel, who is Christian, said: ‘God loves everyone.
